Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

This is a great place to dine in Palm Beach. The courtyard is quaint and a great place to sit (weather permitting). So far I've tried their eggplant rollatini (appetizer) and their margarita pizza both are excellent. Their pizzas are thin crust which I love and are not soggy as mentioned by another reviewer. We also tried their vegetarian pizza which was not that great. All I could taste was just raw vegetables. You can definitely skip on that item in the menu. Overall, I enjoyed dinning here the ambiance and food is very good.

The atmosphere of this place is fabulous - it has a real country Italian feel in the middle of Palm Beach. This is real Palm Beach, not WPB, and that counts for an extra star in my book, especially since prices are about the same as Cityplace and other upscale locations. What deducts a star is that the food is good but not great. The pizza is made of high quality ingredients, but was slightly soggy. Unfortunately this is true of most pizzas I have been served in other places; if that wasn't the case I would have downgraded it a star. In future visits, I will try different dishes and update the review accordingly. The person who mentioned dirty tables was correct. But it fits the atmosphere, which is more like a casual outdoor house party than a restaurant. This is one of the most magical places to visit in all Palm Beach County, and so in the end it earns my coveted five-star rating.

Ambiance and food was amazing! Reminded us of a pizza place in Spain! Do not miss! The pizza with smoked salmon and caviar was fantastic!

Probably the best place to get pizza on the island. Ice cream is also very good.

Amazing thin crust pizza with a large assortment of combinations. Fresh ingredients and good flavors. Located in a private courtyard off Worth.

Very traditional Italian Pizza. Really Great! I love the Margherita! Great service. We ate on the patio and the table was a bit dirty. So I took off a star for that. You will not be disappointed by coming here. Great for a lunch or casual dinner.

We read about this place in a book ("A Year in Palm Beach" by Pamela Atcheson and Dick Myers), so we had to try it. Also, we knew from the book that we could bring our dog. In fact, the first time we went, the only table available was inside, but that was still okay, dog-wise. Mind you, "inside" is really kind of "outside" anyway, because the whole wall pretty much opens up onto the patio, but still. I kind of love this place. It feels so very exclusive and special. The "plain" everyday water comes in a chilled glass bottle and is bottled at the source in Tuscany (yes, that is also the water our little dog drank). The food is good, a little bit different than you might find elsewhere. I also kind of hate it. The tables are crowded too tightly together, so it's hard to weave your way through. The food is overpriced for what you get (it's not THAT good). And most importantly, as reviewer Chantal pointed out, the service is absolutely awful. We have been there twice. When our first waiter was rude and completely inattentive, we thought it must be a fluke. But we came back a week later, got a different waiter, and same thing. Rude, never around, and as a bonus, got half the order wrong. To tell you the truth, it seems like they just decided one day to make all their busboys into waiters. They don't know what they're doing, so their way of coping is to interact with you as little as possible. The one exception to our complaints about the staff, though, is the manager. He was unfailingly polite and accommodating. If he's the one hiring and training, though, he needs to go too.

Lovely outdoor patio and delicious food. However the service was amazingly rude and incompetent. Our reservation for two was at 9:00 on a Saturday night. Apparently the staff had plans that night, and working was not part of the plan. We literally had not even pulled our chairs to the table upon being seated when someone came up to ask the drink order - no greeting, "what do you want to drink" We said we needed some time to look at the menu. A busboy came to serve us water, dropped a glass and walked away, returning 10 minutes later to clean up. We placed our order for an appetizer, salad and pizza. We had barely begun to eat our appetizer when the salad AND pizza arrive. We said to take the pizza back - it will be cold by the time we get the chance to eat it. The server was obviously unhappy. When the pizza returned the thin crust was soggy and cold. Had to send it back to be reheated. No matter how good the food - the staff made the experience unpleasant. We have never had that experience in Palm Beach. Where was the Manager???

Service was the worst I've had in Palm Beach. The other reviewer was right when he said it seemed like they made their bus boys into waiters, because that is how it seemed. Our waiter could hardly speak English, and after placing our order he never returned, and we never saw him walking the floor again. Maybe he went in the back to wash the dishes? Besides the horrible service-we actually had to yell across the room to get a waiter's attention-the food was not that great considering the expensive price tag. I am not sure if I would ever eat here again.

Love the location! I've been ordering and dining there for years. Perfect thin crust pizza and refreshing wonderful salads. I enjoy dining there. It is quite lovely to dine outside in the evening.

The food is very good at Pizza al Freso with amazing thin crust Pizza and most major Italian dishes served with fresh ingredients and plenty of authentic Italian flair. Don't expect a cheap Pizza dining experience though - you are on Palm Beach after all. Yes, the staff and waiters are often Italian as well. The location and atmosphere easily matches their great cooking, featuring a picture perfect outdoor cafe situated just off Worth Avenue in a hidden Courtyard. Recently, Pizza al Fresco added an indoor dining room which helps during busy winter 'season' or bad weather. You could really be overseas in this courtyard cafe and you won't hear any traffic - just the bees buzzing around the bright flowers and the sounds of your fellow guests enjoying their favorite Italian beers and foods. I'm not sure if they've changed this with their indoor expansion but they used to only be open during the winter season. Call to be safe. A large dinner suitable for 5 cost about $57 - that's two Pizza's, two salads, and one dinner entree.

Why Why WHY do we keep going back?! Oh, right, the incredible atmosphere and the great food. But the service KILLS me! My friends and I who live nearby have been coming back over and over for a year or so with hopes that 'the next time will be better'. But it never changes. You call to make a reservation and they take your number of people and time but not your name and hang up. You call back with your name, and when you arrive a few hours later... no reservation. Glass is always breaking during dinner. The waiters don't speak english, are rude or will look straight at you waving them down and keep on walking right by, that is, if you ever see them after you first sit down. Oh, and don't ask for bread, you'll be castrated. The service is so awful, I think last night was my finally my last visit ever. How sad, with good service, it would be such a fabulous place. It's officially off my recommendation list.

I have always really enjoyed going here. I really like the thin crust pizza and a glass of wine and sitting outside in this wonderful courtyard setting. I have also tried other things on the menu and have been coming here for years but only for lunch. One of my favorite places in Palm Beach. Johnnie Brown was the pet spider monkey of Addison Mizner. His grave stone is located in this courtyard.

Service and outdoor seating is very nice. But if you're coming here for great pizza, wrong place. The specialty pizza al fresco seemed like the right choice here. So disappointed in the crust...seriously lacking flavor...taste like matzoh. The prosciutto would have been so much better if sliced thinner like it should be. Sauce was lacking flavor. We were very disappointed in this pizza.

Monday dinner with husband and my parents. Mediocre Caesar salads for three of us. I had mediocre eggplant rolatini appetizer. Husband loved his fish (sauce on the side). Mother was happy with her fish. Father ordered calves liver (personally, I am a veg, so I find this horrible, but I digress), it was so tough and over cooked, he sent it back. He was brought another one. It was barely edible. He had mild food poisoning later on. We assume the meat was not fresh, as this is not something most people order in a pizza establishment. If it is on the menu, it should be fresh! Manager handled the situation properly, and took dish off our bill. Would give 1.5 stars for the good fish and professional manager. We would never return.

To start, I will say that this restaurant has my favorite outdoor seating around town! You're in this little Italian-esque via surrounded by trees and birds (and occasionally there is a pet pig) and you're kind of in a cubby hole so there's no traffic walking or driving past you. On the right days the courtyard does fill up! Off season is of course a little less crowded but in season this restaurant is busy nearly ever night! Full house inside and out. This restaurant is one that I can say consistently has good service! They have the BEST fried calamari around town! The first time I ever tried pistachio ice cream was here and it is now one of my favorite ice creams! They do have fantastic pizzas with the option of a whole wheat crust if you'd like which is awesome. I've mainly had the pizzas from here. There is such a nice variety of pizza to choose from and the flavor and taste is never disappointing! However sometimes the toppings can be a little skimpy and the crust a little too well done. Maybe its just because they're busy and making pizzas in a hurry. Regardless I would come back in a heartbeat!

We feel like we're back in Italy here. Great food and beautiful patio area. The staff is refreshingly unpretentious. This is kind of hidden in one of the many romantic little alley's off Worth Ave. Highly recommend this little gem of a spot.

Wonderful spot to stop for a bite while frequenting the shops and galleries in the area. We enjoyed our meal in the courtyard which afforded us some great people watching (ya know, if you're into that sort of thing). The soup of the day was lentil - nothing special but still good. The obvious stars of this restaurant (besides the locals who are quite an attractive and interesting crowd) are the thin crust pizzas. We tried two different pies: The Santa Sicilia which includes both portobello and oyster mushrooms as well as truffle oil served atop a wheat crust. Also, the Dello Chef which includes crumbled sausage, broccoli rabe and roasted garlic. Both were absolutely delicious! In hindsight, I should have skipped the soup and saved room for more pizza. Ah well... The coffee and bellini's were excellent as well. Overall, a lovely alfresco dining experience in Palm Beach.

The cheesecake changed my life. I see the world differently now. The pizza was solid. The rosé was money. On a scale of 1 to cheesecake, I'd give them a 7 and an 8, respectively. I am having cheesecake withdrawals as I write this review. On my deathbed I will advise my grandson if he does one thing he must get that cheesecake.

Location and environment is amazing! The seafood pizza is very fresh with shrimp and scollop for topping! I give it 5 start for the nice environment! And the front desk lady is very pretty!

I know everyone knows how great this place is for lunch and dinner, Javier and the crew go out if their way to make you feel welcome no matter how crazy busy they are, but I am writing this to alert all people in Palm Beach to the best kept morning secret in town - BREAKFAST AT PIZZA AL FRESCO! If you want to feel like your living in paradise and want to start your day like a real millionaire even if your not, have breakfast in this delightful little hideaway off of Worth Avenue in Via Mizner. They make all you breakfast favorites, eggs any style you like , fresh fruit, french toast and Belgium waffles! Yummmmm So next time your looking for a great way to start your day with ocean breezes under the palms, check out this fantastic place!

I have been there several time at nigh-time for outdoor & indoor dinner experience which it is very pleasant. I love the Appetizers & Salads as well as ALL Desserts. It is very Italian style indoor & outdoor restaurant with an amazing environment surrounded by very nice architecture & lightning. As Appetizer, I had the Calamari Fritti which it was delicious with the spicy arrabiata tomato sauce. Also, I enjoy a very DELICIOUS Lobster salad with very tasteful citrus vinaigrette dressing along with 2 glasses of red Merlot, Planeta Italy very full body. I highly recommend it!!!

I walked in and ordered a tequila sunrise and a to-go margherita pizza. The drink was great but apparently they don't have margherita pizza on the menu because it was a cheese pizza with 1 sprig of basil in the middle! They made it real fast like 10 minutes. I could see in the kitchen it was clean and everyone was working hard. Will have to try this place for real and maybe order something off the menu.

Wandered into this place late on a Sunday after the Worth shops had closed. We didn't have a reservation but the hostess was very quick about getting us seated. Once seated we lingered for a long time, I think there was a party going on and several large groups, the restaurant was busy. The restaurant had a very upscale feel to it with the diners, we wandered in in jeans and shorts and felt a bit underdressed. Our waitress was extremely friendly but busy. I ordered the salmon and my partner ordered the short ribs, both meals were extremely delicious. Enjoyed some desert and then left. All in all, a great meal. Would try the pizza next time I'm in town.

As always, a great place to visit when you are on Worth Ave. Its a very Tuscan feeling and secluded. We ordered the palm beach pizza of course. It had caviar and smoked salmon. Very good! It definitely tasted like a million dollars. The calamari came with a spicy red sauce. The Nutella pizza was a little bit over the top. It was big enough for 4! The staff are very friendly. The atmosphere was cozy.

Great little restaurant tucked away on the south west side of the courtyard at the end of Worth ave. We ordered pasta, calzones and chicken. Service was very good, food was even better. Atmosphere inside the courtyard was beautiful very pleasant experience.

This place looked very promising when we walked in but the food was less than average. We ordered 2 salads both which came out with wilted lettuce and tomatoes, Parmesan cheese that was sliced but hardened in the sides, old prosciutto and bacon. How hard is it to make a fresh salad! The margarita pizza was ok. Nice and thin. I'd check out other places before coming here.

I seriously have no idea who is reviewing this place because its awful!! We chose to sit inside since it was a little humid and they are under construction...the tools, etc are all left in an adject room with no attempt to conceal. The food is horrible...its seriously the WORST chicken ive ever had and the mozzarella, like chewing on rubber. Skip it and go to Bice one via over.

Excellent pizza! All the ingredients are fresh and uniquely put together. Expect to pay about 20 dollars for a small pizza. This place is tucked away in an ally away from street view but it's worth finding. Very yummy!

Pizza Al Fresco has a lovely outdoor patio that get's nicer even at night. This is also one of the very few "moderately priced" places on the island. My friend (a PB resident) and I had the seafood salad and canneloni and a nice red wine. Tasty enough, but as with most things in PB you're paying for the atmos. and the scene. Ferragamo loafers and pastel cashmere = the look. Don't think about arriving without a reservation during the season. We were a bit miffed that our reservation seemed to have disappeared when we arrived. However, once seated the servers were pleasant.

Service could be a tiny bit better -but the food and ambiance is perfect. Prices aren't too bad and their delivery makes this ideal. Calamari app is fantastico. All pizzas are amazing. we are partial to the fungi. wine list is so-so, but that doesn't matter. Best pizza in PB.

Lovely outdoor ambience.....However when we arrived last night and were told all 35 available outside seats were reserved and we had to eat inside. After saying we would wait for the 15 minute grave period to elapse we were given an outside spot. Waiter hovered all night trying to get us to hurry up and order, hurry up and eat and the worst was they asked us to leave as they needed our table!!!!.."...and there were plenty of seats available inside and a few outside... We were a party of 4 and ordered plenty of food. Pizza was great.....they need to work on their service...

The place is in the heart of the high end WPB waterfront area Which makes dining here enjoyable. The pizza is crispy and it's good. Not the best but good considering this is Florida. I think the pricing is a little high for what you get but again it's the area that you're in. The menu selection is limited and everything we had was good except the soup. The soup has to be out of a can. It was horrible and very salty. Tasted like Cambels to me. Nice outdoor dining. Just don't go crazy on the appetizers and pizza otherwise you'll find the bill will add up quickly. One last note is that there are no refills on drinks so be careful. They will charge.

I've never been to Italy, but this is how I imagine I would eat every day if I went. An outdoor courtyard, surrounded by beautiful architecture, warm weather, and of course fresh pizza! The service left a little to be desired, and the other people were snobs. But that's what I've come to expect. The food was more than decent, and although it's expensive, it's definitely more about the experience. Probably the highlight for me was the caprese salad-- great fresh mozzarella!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
